Boracay is a tropical island about one flight hour away from Manila. Boracay owns around 30 beaches. The famous White Beach is four kilometer long and the sand is absolut white. Boracay is located in front of the big island Panay. For everybody who loves white beaches and beautyful sunsets, Boracay is a paradise. The main attraction, besides the beaches, is every kind of watersports.

 
 

How to get there:

The fastest way to Boracay is the plane. If you have time, it is worth while to travel by ship from Manila.  When you are allraedy in Panay, you have to go to Caticlan, Caticlan is the ferry port to Boracay.

   

By ship:

The "MBRS Shipping Lines" owns two ships, which traveling between Manila and Caticlan. The ships leaving the north pier of Manila (pier 8) every Friday, Monday and Wednesday around 5 pm. Arriving time is between 6 and 8 am the next day.

   

By plane:

Manila - Caticlan: Asian Spirit flys every day (4 sometimes 5 times), Sea Air flys 3 times daily.

Manila  - Kalibo (province capital): Philippines Airlines flys 4 times daily, Cebu Pacific und Air Philippines are flying 2 times a day.

   
Cebu - Caticlan: Asian Spirit and Sea Air are flying one to two times a week.
   

Bus:

If you are arriving in Kalibo, three bus companys (Southwest Tours, Star Express and 7107 Island Tours) having trips to Caticlan. The journy will take 1- 1,5 hours. There are several mini - vans and busses from Iioilo (island capital) to Caticlan.

   
   

Caticlan - Boracay:

The boots leaving from the new pier of Caticlan. The trip with the bancas is around 20 minutes to the boot station 3 and 40 minutes to the boot station 1 (map). The trip is sometimes a bit rough and it is possible you get totally wet.

   

Accomedation:

You will find all kinds of hotels and resorts at Boracay. There are cheap bungalows as well as expensive hotels.
